11-14-00 Our show at The Matrix was very entertaining. There were 3 other acts and they were all very diverse and very good. The Matrix is a really cool all ages coffee house venue with a pretty decent stage and sound system. They are starting to book national and international acts there. They also just purchased some major video equipment and are taping the bands live and will be broadcast over the internet. I hear that they will even be giving each band that performs there a copy of the video to take home with them. The main drawback is that the club is in Chehalis and most people haven't a clue that it is there. We are working on spreading the word.
10-18-00- Great show at Mountain Shots. It's really good to be performing again.
Chucky Waldrop (lead guitarist for LGM) cut a ligament in his finger and will not be able to play guitar for a while. We will let you know when we will be performing again, (probably sometime in October).
In the meantime we will be finishing vocal tracks, rhythm guitar tracks, etc. on the new CD, songwriting, and shopping our first CD (Blood of the Young) to record labels. Sorry for any inconvenience. We are going to take away all sharp objects from Chucky! Hope to see you again in the Fall.
8-3-00 Hot but productive weekend. We just rerecorded all of our basic tracks this last weekend at Arcade Recording in Tumwater. The sessions were a blast. In-between recording we drank Mocha Freezes (Pam just discovered and awesome mix for them at Costco and made mondo batches to cool the band off and wake them up) Of coarse we had to eat BBQ Burgers (kindly provided by Tim Roberge) to keep the energy going! The final result was 10 great sounding basic tracks with tons of energy and the best drum sounds that we have ever obtained on an album! Next on to guitars, vocals and mixing.
7-23-00 Thanks: Just wanted to thank all who came out for our shows these last two weekends. They were a huge success! We won over lots of fans and have received mass compliments for our newest member of the band Chucky Waldrop (lead guitar player). Simply put "He rocks!"
Bite of Seattle Show:
We ended the weekend with a great show at the KISW Alki Ct. stage in the beer garden at The Bite of Seattle, yesterday. We had a great staff of people working with us like Mike the sound man from American Music (who helped us to sound great by the way) and a couple of awesome bouncer dudes who kept the crowd in line!
New CD:
Our show schedule is winding down for the summer. We are going into the studio next week to begin rerecording our 3rd CD. If you liked Blood of the Young, you will love this album. It will be just as captivating but will have more of a live high energy feel.
Band Photo's:
Lastly, we will be getting a new band photo on the web site ASAP and a few candid live shots on the picture section as well.
Carl Cook (band photographer) http://www.halcyon.com/clcook/photowks has been taking lots of photo's of the band these last few weekends. We know he does great work and are looking forward to seeing the proofs!
Band Video:
We have also contracted with a local video artist to begin recording us live in the studio. We should have a live video up on the web site within the next few months.

7-16-00 Despite a rough start to our weekend with the sound system sucking at Lakefair (no working monitors, etc.) we had a great weekend. We broke our CD sales record at Lakefair and Kirkland Art Festival (thanks to Heath, Michelle and Laura) and got 3 pages of new fans to sign up on our mailing list! The band was signing lots of autographs at Lakefair, and lots of little girls asked Pam to sign their hands. Wow, we felt like rock stars! On top of that the weather was marvelous! Hey we're cookin' now!
7-6-00 Well more news on the new album. We have decided to start from scratch and record the whole album over, including basic tracks. Sorry about the delay but since Chucky has been back we have realized that our sound is better than ever. We want this album to reflect the energy of this band, and to be able to write and record one or two more songs with Chucky to add to the album. Obviously the release date will be delayed, (probably sometime this Fall if all goes as planned) but the wait will be well worth it!
Also we now have band stickers! They are made of removable adhesive and perfect to stick just about anywhere. They are very cool looking and FREE. Email us to request your free sticker (2 free per person, extra $1 each).
7-2-00 ALKI MUSIC FESTIVAL We had such a good time here! Even thought the weather was a bit nippy (being right on the waterfront and a typical Seattle July day), we had one of the best shows ever. The stage and sound were awesome and we played a really powerful set. At one point Chucky and Bruce were jumping up and down and Pam joined in. We had a chance to listen to several other bands (Shiro, The Ghetto Monks, and Adam Sheridan) and they all rocked! The festival was sponsored by THE END and the people running the show were super nice and extremely professional. We hope to work with them again soon. The performances were videotaped and each band will receive a copy. Hopefully we can post ours up on our site soon.
Well folks, I seem to have lost our news page. It's probably floating around somewhere in cyberspace! Anyway I was frantically trying to retrieve it when it hit me. Maybe we should just forget the old news and start fresh, again. Sometimes its hard to let go but as I'm learning it is a very necessary skill especially in this business. So here we are again, changing members "like Imelda Marcos goes through shoes" as one disgruntled ex LGM short time drummer pointed out the other day. Well yes, in 5 years we have been through many line ups and lots of changes. We have had members come and go, and come back again. Many reasons, not important. The important thing is that LITTLE GREEN MEN is still here, probably with the strongest lineup we've ever had, and we are moving forward.
With all that said we are happy to inform you that Chucky's Back! Yes we invited Charles (Chucky) Waldrop (lead guitar player, songwriter) back and he happily accepted. We had our first rehearsal with him (in about a year) last week and it almost felt like had never been gone. It was pretty easy for him since he had helped write or arrange most of the songs we are playing. He has also agreed to rerecord the lead guitar tracks on our new CD which we know he will kick ass on! We are getting ready for the next onslaught of shows as well as finishing up our CD. We have many plans in the works including making a video to post on the web site and send to record companies along with the new CD. Hope to see you all out there soon!
3-18-00 Had a great show last night at the Ballard Firehouse. Pat enjoyed it the most since it was St. PATRICKS DAY!!!! We played first and then relaxed for the other bands. We all had a great time. Can't wait to go back.
1-5-00 Good time at the Shakabra Java last night. Cool little place! Made some new fans, one very interesting Vietnam veteran named Larry. He had been having a bad day and he said our music really helped him. We ended up signing his American flag that he has carried with him since the war. Lots of interesting drawings and signatures on it. He also gave us some mementos which we put with our collection of gifts, etc., from fans. Some of our favorites have been thank you notes on napkins, drawings, poems, letters and a paper rose made out of a napkin by a young man at a Mountain Shots gig.
1-16 Visited Adrianne (the little girl that we recently played a benefit show for) and her twin sister Annaliese. Brought them some late Christmas gifts played with the new pokemon toys that talked and just hung out for a while. Adrianne is going back into the hospital for another bone marrow transplant next week. Send good thoughts her way
1-12 Finished recording10 basic tracks last weekend in the studio (Arcade). Angela did a great job as assistant engineer for Bruce (head engineer and studio owner). This was the first recording experience for this particular LGM lineup. The music flowed easily and quickly, they even wrote a new song on the spot. They are very excited about this CD!
1-3-2000 Well let's see, the band took a break for the holidays. We decided since we didn't have a New Year's Eve gig we would have a party to ring in the year 2000! It was a small affair at Pam's house, the band, Angela and a few friends. Angela brought her new video camera to record the events of the evening. When she and Mark viewed it the next morning they decided that it should remain an underground documentary, never to be released to the general public. The band is getting ready to record again and anticipate going into the studio next week.
